104th Pennsylvania Infantry, Co. C; William Warren Marple;  Captain  (1861 he served as a Corporal in the 25th Pennsylvania Infantry, Co. I).  (Lt. Colonel, then Colonel of the 2nd South Carolina Colored Troops (34th U.S. Colored Troops).  Brevet Brigadier General at the end of the war.  The 34th U.S. Colored Troops were in the same brigade as the 54th Massachusetts.  By the end of the war, William commanded the brigade.
